Colores de Carol Valentine's Day Collection | Winter 2016

No, you didn't read wrong and no, there isn't a typo in the title.

To celebrate with some V-Day manicuring, I whipped out the Colores de Carol Valentine's Day Collection I was gifted by the owner herself last year.  Since I received them after Valentine's, I actually decided to wait until this year to post them.  I can't believe a year's worth of resolve actually came to fruition.  Sadly, the only polish from this collection that appears to be available still is Beso, so I've linked the title to site to purchase it if you are interested.  My apologies that the others are not available anymore but Carolina is consistently creating new and amazing colors so definitely be sure to check out her site for other beauties!

But on to the polishes at hand...

Candy Kisses
Layered over a white creme, this milky crelly (something that Carolina specializes, in my opinion!) is just adorable.  For some one that doesn't like glitter, I was totally digging the pink, red, gold, and mint green pieces with the cute pink glitter flecks running throughout.  The glitter also applies super evenly and I only needed one coat over the white base to get this done.

Single Lady

For some reason I really like mint green holos.  I don't wear holographic polish that much but there's something really soft about a mint one that I enjoy.  Single Lady's scattered yet linear holo is an interesting mix because in natural light it glows with a nice sparkle but in direct light the holo comes alive.  And the formula is amazing in two easy coats.

My favorite of this quartet is hands down this glossy creme.  I love that this isn't a classic pastel pink but instead really bandies about the middle of purple and pink, which makes this both festive and work appropriate.  And the high shine finish is just perfection.

Similar in formula to Single Lady, Beso is a raspberry holographic with the same subtle glow in natural light and strong linear rainbow in direct light as its mint sister.  While this is only two coats, a third coat would give this color a deeper, richer look so you can really tailor it to your liking.  While my macro below is a bit blurred, I loved the blue flash that almost electrifies its way out of the polish.  Such an interesting effect!

Once again, only Beso is still available and you can (and should!) purchase it here.  Please be sure to check out the other Colores de Carol polishes to add some amazingness to your stash!
