China Glaze Lite Brite Collection, Part 1 | Summer 2016

Part 1 of the China Glaze Lite Brites is here!  A bit eye searing, I apologize for the skin discoloration but these neons made my camera go berserk!

I've Got a Blue Attitude
A true blurple creme, this shade got a lot of compliments!  An interestingly dark shade for summer, I loved how chic this was for the season.  Think of this as the navy for summer and a definite must have!

What I Like About Blue
I'm a sucker for a good aqua and throw in a fine silvery shimmer...perfection.  The only thing I wasn't too keen on about What I Like About Blue is the formula, which was just a bit too thick for my liking when this semi neon dries mattes (read fairly quick) making application difficult to keep even and not super self leveling.  Worth it for such a lovely summer shade though.

None of Your Risky Business
While not super unique, this traffic cone orange neon has a fabulous formula without any need for a white base coat.  My camera brought out some yellow undertones in this shade but it's much brighter and more orangey in real life.

Lime After Lime
For the past few summer collections, China Glaze has produced a chalky, white toned kiwi green pastel neon shade like this so it's becoming a bit boring to me at this point.  The formula was fine, but once it hits the cuticles it becomes a chalky mess.  A pass in my book.

I'll Pink to That
Fabulous neon formula, this crelly fuchsia gave my camera a stroke.  This is the ultimate hot pink.

Bite Me
A bubblegum hot pink with the hottest golden shimmer, Bite Me is what Barbie would've worn to her very first Robert Downey, Jr. house party in the '80s.  Sorry, Ken.  Formula was a bit gummy but if applied quickly and evenly it manages all right.  Similar to What I Like About Blue, I'd suggest a top coat due to its semi matte finish.

Any of these tickle your fancy for summer?

More to come in Part 2!
