For Spring 2016, Deborah Lippmann's 4 piece Afternoon Delight isn't just a dreamy, dusty set of beautiful shades. It is also the first set of Gel Lab PRO formulated polishes infused with 10 active ingredients meant to deliver health, wear, and shine, providing the look of a gel polish without the damage. In addition to the newly contoured brush (which I personally love!), here are some of the new benefits in these beautiful shades:
Health: evening primrose, keratin, biotin, green tea extract, aucoumea, nonychosine F
Wear: platinum powder, epoxy resin
Shine: silk fibers, plexi glass
And now to the colors!
Peaches & Cream
Every girl needs a peachy pink creme like this in her collection! A dusty neon pastel (is that a thing?), Peaches & Cream is just perfection. The formula is divine and the color is soft yet glowing. My new go-to peach!
Dusty teals are the only teals I can really pull off so Get Lucky really works for me. The beautiful balance between cerulean blue and greyed out sage gives a delightful spring evening appeal. The formula once again is perfection!
Dirty Little Secret
Premiered at the Narcisco Rodriguez S/S 2016 show, this nude scattered holographic is perhaps my favorite from this quartet. A fun way to wear the nude trend, this color pulls a bit pink on me which I personally prefer in a nude. Despite the formula being a bit sheer, three coats is all you need for the opacity you see. In direct light, you can really make out the glorious holographic glow. Check it out below!
The Pleasure Principle
So sadly The Pleasure Principle made my camera go nuts. You wouldn't think a lilac would but this is no ordinary lilac. This is a dusty neon pastel and the neon aspect just freaked out my camera. It couldn't focus properly and when it did, the color was just off a bit. In real life, this lilac is a tad more pink toned and about two tones brighter. Definitely gorgeous and certainly more unique than my photo allows. Gorgeous but not camera friendly.
You can purchase the Afternoon Delight Gel Lab PRO Collection at www.deborahlippmann.com, Barneys New York, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Sephora stores nationwide for $20.
