Colores de Carol Holiday Collection | Winter 2015

Merry Christmas!

To everyone who celebrates and those who don't, wishing you and yours a happy holiday season!

To end the day, I have another great collection from one of my favorite indie brands, Colores de Carol, who is currently running a sale on all the polishes shown below.  More details at the bottom of the post, but in the meantime, enjoy the polishes!

Marshmallow Candy Apple
A bright red jelly, Marshmallow Candy Apple is heavy on ruby red glitter with sparse large red circle glitters and random golden glitter.  I think this would've been a real knockout without the circle glitter and the gold medium sized glitter and instead replaced with the same sized golden shimmer and the ruby.  Either way, application was easy but the glitter is heavy and tends to pool at the cuticle line.  Top coat definitely needed for this glossy look.

Tree in a Bottle
While I'm not into glitter, especially oddly shaped glitter, something is really cool about Tree in a Bottle.  This evergreen jelly covers in 3 coats and the star and mini circle glitter really does add a nice touch.  Again, topcoat needed.

Midnight Jewel
Carolina's holos are my favorites and Midnight Jewel reminds me why!  This navy teal is just magnificent and the shimmery holo is a soft linear that sparkles in all lights magically.  Two coats of absolute perfection.

Jelly Christmas
Jelly Christmas is a cobalt jelly that covers perfectly.  I don't love the odd shaped glitter thrown in there but the color is something, isn't it?

Another of Carolina's milky cremes, Juguetes is a white creme base that's confetti'ed with red and green square, triangle, and bar matte glitter.  Super fun and 3 coats needed for opacity.

Gingerbread Cupcakes
I posted this beauty on Instagram while I wore this -- it's just so stunning!  A cocoa brown shimmer with light linear holo, Gingerbread Cupcakes is another winning CdC polish.  Two coats of gorgeousness.

The Miracle of Hanukkah
This azure blue crelly is near and dear to my heart.  Carolina actually reached out to me when she created this for an apt name that would suit the polish and holiday since she knew I celebrated it.  I think the name fits the beauty of both!  What's unfortunate is that photos can't pick up the pink shimmer shift in this polish.  Seriously, this is just an unbelievable shade.  And I love Carolina for making this.

Sugarplum Sprinkles
Another shimmer holo!  And in violet!  Enough said.

Feliz Ano
Perfect for New Years, this foil applies without any streaks or strokes!  Seriously, this might be the best foil/metallic I've ever used.  It looks silver but it also has a soft pale champagne gold tint to it that makes it even more amazing.  Simply perfect in two coats.

Vintage Lights
While not meant to be layered, I chose to polish Vintage Lights over Feliz Ano to see how the goldish silver glitter and hints of red, mint, and blue glitter would pick up over the smooth metallic base.  In person, it looked pretty cool but in my photo I think it looks quite busy.  However, this polish is so delicate and seasonal.  A must have for those that like holiday glitter!

This collection is available on the Colores de Carol shop here and is currently on sale NOW.  Each polish is currently $7.00 or you can buy the entire collection for $50.50 -- but get it quick, once these are gone, they are not coming back!
