Twinsie Tuesday | Favorite Movie

Sorry for being late today!  I've been the worst blogger ever lately but I knew come hell or high water this post was going up today no matter what.

For today's TT prompt we are posting manis inspired by our favorite movies.  My favorite movie is and forever will be What Dreams May Come.  A Robin Williams film from 1998, this movie is truly one of the most visually beautiful and emotionally haunting films I have ever seen.  I have seen this a number of times and cannot watch it without crying my eyes out and having a true philosophical crisis at the end of it.  To me, that's a great movie.  Plus Robin Williams.  One of the most brilliant men who ever lived.

Without giving too much away, the film is framed (no pun intended) largely around the protagonist's late wife's paintings.  The film has lots of flowers and purple trees that echo those paintings so I riffed my mani off a few screenshots I shared below.  The details of the mani didn't come out so well, but the technique I used was simply a base of Colores de Carol Cheshire, a deep amethyst holo, and then dry brushed KBShimmer Hugs and Kisses (dusty lavender) and SinfulColors Fig (shimmery plum), topping it off with Barry M. Fashion Icon (duochrome indigo glitter) for a bit of texture and sparkle.  I included a macro so you can sort of make out the different colors used.

Here are some photos from the movie for reference.
