Rocksbox: Become a Shine Insider | Unboxing and Review

I was recently contacted to test out Rocksbox, a new personalized jewelry subscription box that allows you to test out designer bling monthly.  I'm typically hesitant to try out subscription boxes since I find that most of the items I get are not at all what I would normally want, but Rocksbox makes sure you like what you get!  The process is simple:

1. Become a Shine Insider.
Go to Rocksbox.com to take a brief style survey and add pieces to your wish list.

2. Get 3 Pieces to Wear on Loan.
Curated by Rocksbox jewelry stylists, you'll receive your box of hand-selected pieces based on your wishlist, style survey, and specific requests.  Once you get your box, you can wear your jewelry to your heart's content!

3. Return Anytime and Get 3 New Pieces!
Each box comes with prepaid postage so when you're done with your gems, you can send them back for free to get your next box of designer jewelry valued at over $200 per set.

I love how personalized the whole process is!  Take a look at the unboxing photos:

My set consisted of one Loren Hope bracelet (who if you follow me on Instagram, you know I'm newly obsessed with!), a House of Harlow 1960 pendant, and Charlene K necklace.

What's great about this loan service is if you like something, you can buy it!  And for a discounted insider price!  As you can see above, each item is marked down by at least $15 a piece.  Additionally, by becoming an insider, you have $10 Shine Dollars to spend on the items you've been loaned (or on precurated sets highlighted on Rocksbox that month).

So...

Loving the Carly bracelet from Loren Hope, I used my $10 Shine Spend on the $62 discounted price and kept my bracelet -- no shipping, no time waiting: the bracelet was mine the minute I decided to purchase it!

Loren Hope Carly Bracelet
Retail $78
Insider' Price $62
$10 Shine Spend
Total $52

What I really like is personalized aspect here, and I don't just mean the style quiz or wishlist.  I have a severe allergy to gold (that's the purest quality gold through to gold plating) that leaves me in hives and needing to be hospitalized.  So needless to say, I was nervous about signing up for a boxed jewelry service.  However, in the space that asked for any other facts the stylists would want to know, I stated my allergy.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that they read that and took my note seriously and only sent me silver items!  Nicely done, Rocksbox.

The Rocksbox service is offered at $19 a month.  That's 3 personalized designer pieces,  discounted prices, and an additional $10 to spend on jewelry for only $19 a month.  Not too bad if you ask me -- and remember, I typically dislike boxed mailings.

But, if you use the code amandalandishxoxo you can try out this service for FREE for one month.

Totally worth it if you ask me!
