RickyColor Spring/Summer Selections

As a native New Yorker, I love collections inspired by my city.  To have an entire line inspired by life of a city dweller is even cooler.  RickyColor, a nail polish line from the NYC-based beauty store, is all about life in the city.  The names sum up it so perfectly!

Take a look at 4 colors available this spring/summer!

Summer Friday
A warm orange with a coral undertone, this crelly embodies the sunset over the skyline you'd see while sipping cocktails after work on a Summer Friday.

Fifth Floor Walkup
Not every apartment in the city is equipped with a doorman and an elevator.  Fifth Floor Walkup is the polish equivalent of the not so easy lifestyle many enjoy to live the life in Manhattan.  A cool, icy mint crelly, the beautiful color could not make up for the poor quality of this formula (thin, runny) or the brush (even thinner, with an curved brush -- I'm assuming that's manufacturer defect, but still, not an easy thing to work with).

5 Dollar Pashmina
Venturing out on to the streets, you'll find vendor after vendor of pashminas: 1 for $6, 2 for $10.  In 5 Dollar Pashmina, you get a steal!  A cornflower lavender crelly, this applied somewhat thinly but dried to a shiny finish after 3 coats.

BBCs at Cyril's
From the Pastel Opal Collection, this neon pastel aqua crelly is perfect to explain a famous drink at a Hamptons' hotspot.  Similar to Fifth Floor Walkup, the formula was not as great as the color and it took some major cleanup to get this mani photo worthy.  Next time, I'll use super thin coats to avoid the cuticle pooling.

You can purchase RickyColor nail polish for $6.50 by clicking here or visiting a Ricky's store while in New York City.
