China Glaze Desert Escape | Summer 2015

After being blown away by this summer's Electric Nights neon collection, I'm pleased to present China Glaze's second summer collection, Desert Escape. A specialty collection, these particular shades will not be as widely available as other standard China Glaze polishes (more details at the bottom of the post).  But prepare yourselves -- I didn't expect to love this as much as I did!

What's She Dune?
Is this *the* nude nail polish for me or what?  Just amazing formula, color, everything.  Delightful!

Don't Mesa With My Heart
I know I have a billion and one pinks, but Don't Mesa With My Heart actually stole my heart.  There's just a dash of purple undertone in this fabulous creme to keep this from being a dead on dupe to China Glaze Dance Baby.  Two coats -- and that shine!

Don't Desert Me
I'm not crazy about semi metallic, half hearted duochromes and while the base tone of Don't Desert Me (ugh, that song is stuck in my head now) is a pretty fuchsia, this one just isn't for me.  Great formula though and another shiny two coater.

Rain Dance the Night Away
Who else goes gaga for these bright aquas during the summer?  While I have a bunch of those polishes, there's something uniquely blue and bright about Rain Dance the Night Away that keeps me from getting bored of this.  Plus, the name!  How adorable!  Two coats and no staining!

Meet Me in the Mirage
I'm not the hugest fan of metallics (see above rant), but there's something very delicate about this rose gold shimmer foil.  I have a feeling I'll pass this along to my best friend who adores shades like this since the color and formula is spot on.

The Heat is On
Hello, gorgeous!  A tomato red jelly that after two coats leaves no cuticle pooling or visible nail line?  Yes, please!  I am a sucker for all polishes red but this one -- wow.  Again, between the formula and the color and the shine who could resist?

The Desert Escape Collection will be available June 1 on  Sally Beauty will only sell select nail art kits and not the individual shades; Ulta will not be carrying this collection.
