Twinsie Tuesday | Watercolor

My TT mani is a bit late today.  Unfortunately, over the weekend, I lost someone very close to my boyfriend and me and blogging went to the back burner.  Before everything occurred, I had already polished my watercolor mani for this week's Twinsie prompt.  However, I never had a chance to properly photograph this mani (which I loved) and my photos are subpar at best.   I sincerely apologize for the quality of these photos but I didn't want to miss this week's Twinsie prompt.

I started with a base of Deborah Lippmann Misty Morning, an amazing grey jelly (coming soon!).  I then took a plastic shopping bag (I didn't have any saran wrap where I was), and dabbed polish on it which I then dabbed randomly on my nails. I find putting the polish directly on the nails and then using the bag to spread it doesn't work as well since the polish dries fast enough to leave a ring around the original dab.  Putting the polish on the bag first avoids that and allows for a more even effect.

Over Misty Morning, I dabbed Essie Blossom Dandy, Wet n Wild Wear Skinny Jeans, and Wet n Wild Reject the Mainstream.  Top coat sealed everything beautifully into this delicate marbling you see below.

Sorry for the redness, but this was a macro I shared on Instagram a few days I thought would give a good sense of what the mani looked like up close.

Again, I apologize for my tardiness and the quality of these photos but I hope you can still appreciate the effect as much as I did!
