Colores de Carol Pinwheel

If I haven't made my love for the newish indie Colores de Carol clear, let me set the record straight: these polishes are effing phenomenal.  Maybe because she's a nail polish blogger and just gets it or maybe because she just understands color trends, but Carolina is consistently wowing me (and the rest of the polish community) with her release of interesting, chic, and edgy colors.

Pinwheel is no exception.

A steely blueish grey purply multichrome with a blinding holographic microshimmer, Pinwheel is just one of the most unique polishes I own.  It's a neutral yet totally rockstar, with a subtle yet in your face sparkle (how does she do that??).  Let's just say Pinwheel is super cool.

I've never had any issues with Colores de Carol formula before so when I noticed this shrinking while polishing, I reached out to Carolina to see if maybe I had applied this wrong.  She herself never had this issue with the polish and suggested I try this without a base coat.  My guess is that my body chemistry just didn't jive 100% with the formula.  I'm only writing this in case someone else has the same weird body chemistry issue with this polish and still wants to rock this fantastic shade.

This is on the sheer side, so I recommend 3 thin coats.

You can purchase Pinwheel for $10 by visiting the Colores de Carol's shop here.
