Bonita Monet's Garden | Marsala for Spring 2015

In trying to incorporate Pantone's Color of the Year into my 2015 palette, I really struggled.  I'm not a fan of brown toned reds or pinks so Marsala seemed to be a miss for me.  However, when I saw Bonita Monet's Garden, I thought this might the perfect gateway Marsala to bring the abode-esque shade into spring.

Monet's Garden is a medium toned rose pink with brown/mauve undertones.  In low lights, this looks very neutral and puttyish.  In brighter lights, the pink comes alive and is super flattering in a way that brown toned pinks never are on me.  What makes Monet's Garden even more unique are the glass flecks swimming in the buttery cream base.

Two perfect coats here.

So there you have it, my choice for a marsala polish for spring.  Do you have any recommendations to bring Pantone's color into the warmer months?

  1. Great shade, would also be a good base shade for some nail art or those newer flower nail toppers perhaps?
