Guest Post from Marisa at Hey, Darling Polish

Another lovely blogger I was fortunate to have blog post for me was Marisa from Hey, Darling Polish!  She was a doll guest posting for me last summer and has done it again with another stunner of a manicure for today's post.  And it's purple!

Hello lovelies!

Look who's back. Me! I'm super excited to be writing up another guest post for Amanda while she's away.

A little about me, my name is Marisa and I blog over at Hey, Darling Polish! Not much has changed since my last post here. I still love having bright nails and painting different patterns on my nails.

Let's get to the nails!

Here's what I used:

I recently discovered that searching for iPhone wallpapers on Pinterest is another good place for nail art inspiration. I came across this background by Micklyn and I knew immediately that I needed it on my nails!

These nails started with three coats of Ciao Bella (previously reviewed here). I then used my detail brush to paint on the gradient, making sure to keep a minimal amount of polish on the brush. Cotton Coney has a wonderful tutorial of this on Instagram. To smooth the gradient, I added a layer of HK Girl. I used my striping brush (previously reviewed here) and the acrylic paint to add on the leaves. Everything was sealed in with a final layer of HK Girl.

I'm so happy with how these turned out! The rough gradient is such a cool technique and I can't wait to experiment with it more. I hope you guys enjoyed these nails too!

Thanks for having me Amanda and thanks everyone for reading!

-Marisa! (:

How amazing was that?  I love how Marisa really breaks down her thoughts and process down.  And to be honest, I just always love her products photos -- aren't they adorable?  Thank you so much, Marisa, for sharing this amazing mani with my readers!
