China Glaze I'd Melt for You | Twinkle Collection Holidays 2014

So I'm back from England and guess what?  I have tonsillitis. So yeah, that's fun and new.

Here's a quick swatch of I'd Melt for You, a silver chrome from the China Glaze Twinkle Collection for the Holidays 2014.  I personally don't love chrome foils like this but I can say this did apply nicely.  A tad streaky and definitely magnifying any nail imperfections, for a silver foil it's not the worst I've ever tried. A half hearted endorsement, but keep in mind I don't feel up to snuff. And I also broke a nail so there's that too.

Two coats here.

While this is from the holiday collection, you can still find this online or at various Sally Beauty stores.

  1. Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. Hope you feel better soon!

  2. I was humming and hawing over this one but as much as I like the look of the polish I can't see myself wearing it a whole lot. The finish isn't perfect and that would really bug me.

  3. Nice silver that is. Hope you feel better!

  4. Thanks! I really appreciate your warm wishes :)

  5. It's not my cup of tea either.

  6. I'm just impressed that someone who isn't feeling well would swatch a silver foil - kudos to you! Get better soon!
I must say, I do like a pretty silver foil but I do know they all have to be pampered in the application to look good (don't they? or am I missing one that goes on like a boss??). That is what keeps me from using them so much. But I do absolutely love them with a sparse bit of glitter on them - the glitter both hiding some imperfections and just looking darn good on the foil!
Thank you for swatching this polish and the photo. Sorry about the nail - it seems to be the season for that, so many people (even people who say their nails never break) are wearing nubbies because of that. I thought I had gotten mine as short as they would go --- and then a corner snapped!

  7. Thank you for the well wishes!! And I totally agree, foils are just miserable to apply and capture because they show EVERY imperfection. I actually tried swatching glitter over this but because it was too shiny, together with the natural light, the manicure just blurred in my camera. Oh well! And yes about the nails breaking, just not a great time of year! And mine are at all time nub levels!
