KBShimmer Winter/Holiday 2014 Collection

I love fall and winter and I totally get swept up in the holiday fever.  That of course includes the holiday and winter nail polish collections.

Here's the Winter/Holiday 2014 Collection from KBShimmer.  Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Mauve on Over
A soft lavender pink jelly with purple aqua, and coral glitters.  Excellent application in 2-3 coats although glitters tend to level by the cuticle line.

Let's Sleigh Together
Similar in formula to Mauve on Over, Let's Sleigh Together is an off white milky crelly with navy, aqua, and green smaller glitters.  2 coats here.

Snow Way
This was actually on my wishlist from last season's release so I was super pleased KBShimmer brought Snow Way back!  A sky blue crelly, the "snow" is snowflake-esque white hex glitters hiding within the formula.  Just lovely.  3 coats here.

Deja Brew
Love a good brown holographic!  Deja Brew has some red undertones that give this holo a different edge than most coffee inspired browns.  Two coats of perfection here.

Flake Dance
Wow.  Talk about an intense topper.  Flake Dance is a dense mix of actual snowflake and hex shaped iridescent glitter and microglitter in a clear holographic jelly base.  Layered over black, Flake Dance explodes.  This was 2 coats over a black creme.

Fallen Angle
KBShimmer is just so on point with their naming.  Fallen Angle is a cobalt blue jelly flushed with triangle glitters, circle glitters, and holographic microglitter.  The formula is a bit thin so 3 coats with waiting is the way to go with this.

Sugar Plum Faerie
A red-toned plum jelly, Sugar Plum Faerie is rich with holographic microglitter and pink, violet, and sage circle/hex glitters of different sizes.  Same formula as Fallen Angle so thin coats and waiting are necessary for the best application.

Spot Sign
To be honest, I was super intrigued by the leopard spot glitter.  What a clever idea for a quick leopard print nail!  However, Spot Sign has a very thick grey tone jelly holographic base which is very goopy to apply.  I had to be very careful and strategic to get the two leopard spots I applied on my ring finger.  As you can see on my pinky, I wasn't quite as lucky.  Dabbing is key here but be careful, the thickness makes the dabs look uneven so a very careful steady hand is necessary for the best application of Spot Sign.
