One of the saddest things about my technological meltdown was that I wasn't able to show you the Colores de Carol Halloween Collection. I love me a cohesive collection that also has something for everyone and this quintet collection hits that nail on the head.
Here is this amazing Halloween collection in all its glory.
An orange is a must for a Halloween collection although a good orange is hard to find. Wicked Pumpkin is a really lovely red-toned orange with a smattering of holographic shimmer. With the light hitting, Wicked Pumpkin just comes alive. I used three coats of this crelly.
What's a collection without a glitter? Frightful Fairy is a mix of orange, black, and gold hex glitter floating in a clear jelly base. There are a few triangles and square glitters mixed in as well as a number of skull and crossbone glitters. I recommend dabbing this glitter to get a more a even look than my swatch.
Sweet & Spooky
A milky white crelly flushed with purple, black, and orange glitter, I chose to layer Sweet & Spooky over a white creme to keep the glitter from settling unevenly. I love fun whites like this and enjoy how it pulls the entire collection together. I actually used this in a recent Halloween inspired mani I posted on Instagram if you want to take a look.
The last two of this collection are hands down my favorites. Dark Skull is a charcoal crelly that just glows with blue, purple, and silver shimmer that veers semi-holographic. Phenomenal. I recommend using three thin coats and waiting between each because this tends to goop up and you want a smooth, even finish to show off how lovely this is.
Saved the best for last. In fact, this may very well be in my top ten favorite polishes this year. The same formula as Wicked Pumpkin and Dark Skull, Cursed Cat is a violet crelly with the most magical holographic and azure blue shimmer. Again, three thin coats with some waiting is the way to go here.
RUN AND GO BUY THIS COLLECTION. Seriously. It's best treat you'll get for Halloween this year.
