Shimmer Polish Jovie

In the process of swatching some of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polishes (review coming soon!  And yes, you're going to looove them!), I realized that All Chalked Up, a pale, pinky grey lilac creme would make a fantastic base to Shimmer Polish Jovie.  A birthday gift this year from my Twinsie Cordia, I had this baby on my bedside since I received it in June, just waiting for the perfect base to wear it over.

Shimmer Polish is one of my favorite indies and is probably the main reason I have come around to glitter polishes.  There's just something for everyone in Cindy's creations -- and I mean everyone.  From the glitterazzi to happily non-disco-ball-wearers like myself, it's hard not to be drawn to one of Shimmer's magical mixes of glitter, holos, and iridescent colors.

Jovie is a Shimmer of the iridescent variety, a personal favorite of mine.  Flecks of mylar goodness in a baby pink jelly base, this looked like angel wings (I guess?) over the pretty lilac creme.  I used one and a half coats for this mani (dabbed a second as necessary).

The macro of Shimmers are always what get me.  Isn't Jovie a beaut?
