Soulstice Spa Newly Released Colors

I love Soulstice Spa.  A quiet little indie and one of the first vegan brands I had heard about when I first began blogging, Soulstice Spa is always consistent in its formulation and its ability to broaden its shades to appeal to everyone.

Kayse, Soulstice Spa's creator, recently sent me her latest 10 polishes, and I'm so happy to share them with you!

Healdsburg
While this dusty orange jelly isn't necessarily my favorite shade, I have to admit that the pink shimmer is a genius touch, giving this toasted pumpkin a little more spice (get it?).  This was only 2 coats for opacity.

Petaluma
Yellow lovers, take note!  Petaluma is amazinggg.  A true pastel yellow jelly, Petaluma is flooded with silvery pink shimmer.  While it applies thinly, you can get a nice opacity at 4 coats.  For those of you with a distaste for so many coats, I recommend waiting a bit more between coats to avoid the dragging I was working with because I have absolutely no patience.

Sonoma
Looking for the most delicate of sheer pink jellies?  Behold, Sonoma.  I typically dislike these sorts of shades because they apply messily, unevenly, and flood my cuticles.  However, Sonoma applied fairly evenly and with 3 coats, left a squishy soft look.  Perfect for a jelly sandwich!

Occidental
Yeah.  Unfortunately, I can't say much positive about Occidental.  A steel grey metallic, this was just way too brushstroke-y for my liking.  This is only 2 coats but it somehow looks very thick on the nail.  Occidental just did not work on me.

Jenner
Heaven!  Wow.  Isn't this just feminine perfection?  A dusty pink, there's something so elegant about Jenner on the nail.  This creme applied deliciously in 2 coats and is definitely a great update to the typical granny light mauve.

Bodega Bay
While not the most original color, there's just a tad more lavender in this cornflower creme that makes Bodega Bay a standout to me.  This pastel is just insanely flattering and applied smoothly in 2 coats.

Kenwood
Before I swatched Kenwood, I assumed it would be one of those forgettable standard pinks of this collection.  Let me tell you that I was happily wrong!  A soft medium pink, Kayse upped the ante with a strong golden shimmer running through this color.  I can't tell you how pretty this is in person!  2 coats here too.

Santa Rosa
A deep cherry pink, Santa Rosa is one of those staple pinks every girl should have in their stash.  Think Revlon Cherries in the Snow for the 21st century.  2 coats and you have a classic mani.

Guerneville
I wish I liked mossy green shades, but personally they aren't for me.  However, if you're a fan, definitely try out Guerneville.  This is just a great squishy jelly that has such a shine to it after 3 coats.

Sebastopol
Yes, this is a completely different type of swatch for me.  However, I simply could not capture the beauty of Sebastopol in my light box and matching side lamps.  After what felt like a bazillion failed pictures, I walked to the bay windows in my living room and just began snapping at my fingertips from every angle possible.  This weird angle (that I'm actually totally digging.  Should I start swatching this way?  Let me know your thoughts in the comments please!) was the best to highlight how subtly rich this charcoal to blackened emerald to purple shifted duochrome is.  It's a bit brushstroke-y, but seriously nothing that obvious in real life.  Two easy coats for this dark beauty.

  3. Just when I thought it was safe for my wallet to come out! I am not a big fan of the darker Fall colors I've been seeing lately (well, except for the jewel-toned ones) and was sorta looking forward to a respite from just Having To Have That Polish! I love quite a few of these polishes and now have to have! Petuluma for sure. And definitely Sonoma. And Jenner. And Bodega Bay. AND Santa Rosa. Well, maybe the rest also! Thank you for introducing me to this brand. :) Wonderful photos.

  4. Lol! I completely understand your dilemma but I can honestly say Soulstice Spa is with it. The brand is consistently stellar, with a wide selection of classic-with-a-twist shades and excellent customer service. If you get any, please let me know what you think or tag me in a IG post if you have it so I can see :)

  6. Healdsburg is my hometown! These are named after Sonoma County towns; Soulstice Spa must be Sonoma County-based. Must research!
