KBShimmer Fall 2014 Collection

I am super excited to share my swatches of 5 of the 9 polishes from KBShimmer's Fall 2014 collection.  One of my favorite brands and my favorite season all rolled into one post!  I hope you'll love these selections just as much as I did.  Take a look!

Jack
A limited release polish, you may remember Jack was part of last year's fall collection.  I am such a sucker for colored microglitter in black bases so I knew I'd love Jack.  Layered over one thin layer of a black creme, the jellied Jack applied amazingly smooth and evenly, creating its own jelly sandwich of its hex and mini bar glitter pieces.  I used two coats of Jack over the base black and I am absolutely in love with how subtle yet seasonal this beauty is.  If you missed this last year, I highly recommend picking it up during this year's repromotion!

How You Dune?
KBShimmer is famous for its buttery cremes so I was really looking forward to trying out this delicious pale dove greige.  Unfortunately, I think I might have gotten a wonky brush because application was somewhat nightmarish and I couldn't get this smooth around the cuticles without a huge pool of greige polish pooling around.  3 super thin coats is the way to go in making this very pretty polish apply nicely.

Rust No One
I'm not the biggest fan of burnt orange as a color or as a polish, but I was intrigued at Rust No One.  Thought of pumpkin spiced lattes and crunchy leaves filled my head as I applied 2 coats of this autumnal linear holo.  Let me just say I'm floored.  How beautiful and unique of a holo is this?  I can see this twinkling on my fingertips a lot this fall!

A Raisin to Live
Another love match!  A deep plum jelly, A Raisin to Live is a glorious mix of sparkling holographic shimmer and glitter pieces.  I've seen many a polish similar in finish to this but in deep navy bases (think anything named "starry" or "night sky") so seeing this glitter mix in this beautiful vampy purple was a delight!  Application was smooth and even and coverage was complete in 2-3 coats (my apologies for not remembering).  This may very well be my favorite of the bunch!

Up & Cunning
As not the biggest fan of teal polishes, I wasn't sure I'd love Up & Cunning, despite its fabulous linear holographic glow.  However, this teal leans on the green side, appearing almost hunter green in certain lights, which really tickled my fancy.  Up & Cunning's application was just as easy as its Rust sister, and I only needed 2 coats for this twinkler.  Is she pretty?
