Shimmer Polish Tracy

Happy Monday, all.

It's a pretty dreary day in New York and while I love rain, the greyness has definitely infected my mood.  I'm just rather grumpy today so you should probably read my "happy Monday" comment above with a bitter taste in your mouth.

That being said, I do have quite a lovely polish to brighten your screen with.  Shimmer Polish Tracy is a really complex gold glitter mix flushed with holographic microshimmer that completely amps up this polish by a thousand.  Unfortunately, the holo effect really weakened under my camera lens, but if you look closely at my ringer finger, you can make out the halo of holo glistening lighting in the formula.

I layered Tracy over LVX d'Orsay because I thought the creme base would serve as a neutral background for Tracy's complex glittery-ness.

I personally have a hard time with golds (too yellow, too shiny, too metallic) but Tracy actually works well with my skin tone!  I think this would really work best as a gradient or used in a sponging technique, but even as a full mani is has its charm!

If you're interested in purchasing Shimmer Polish, visit the brand's Etsy shop where you can pick one up for $12 USD a bottle.

  1. I really want to get this one, along with just about every other Shimmer Polish. They are all gorgeous and this one is no exception.

  4. Hah! I just tried to go add this to my wish list, but it's already on my wish list. Love that rich gold mix!

  5. I've done that before! It makes me feel comforted in that my taste is at least consistent with myself.

  6. Good point, that! I hate when I look up a badly-remembered oldie from the WL and just stare at the pic like, "Wuh??"

  7. I've done that a lot. I recently updated my WL and realized I must have been on acid for about a third of the time I edited it.
