Shimmer Polish Courtney

So it's been about a week since my last post.  I feel awful because not only did I miss a Twinsie Tuesday that I was looking forward to (to be posted soon...hopefully), but I haven't been able to post some of the new lovely polishes sent to me for review.  I could go into a whole diatribe about why I have been MIA, but suffice it to say I'm having some mysterious health issues that no doctor has yet been able to diagnose.

But to the polish!

While I pride myself on having a keen eye for layering polishes together in colored harmony, I was very disappointed in my paired of LVX Orchid and Shimmer Polish Courtney.  In the bottle, this Shimmer is a mix of red, blue, yellow, and purple hex glitter which appeared to lean very purple; however, once I layered it over the beautifully seasonal Orchid, the purple tone became markedly red and yellow.  Oh well.

Courtney isn't my favorite Shimmer Polish but there's something very fun about it (reminds me of a circus tent in a way).  I imagine this would work best for sponging or gradient glitter looks and had I known that I probably would have paired this with a red polish to really make the other colored hex glitters pop.  You live and learn.

If you're interested in purchasing Shimmer Polish, visit the brand's Etsy shop where you can pick one up for $12 USD a bottle.
