Maya Cosmetics Stargazing

Hello, ladies.

It's been a very long weekend for me.  I had a three-day overnight work convention where I think I must have slept at most 7 hours the entire time.  I crashed at the boyfriend's apartment afterwards, slept for probably 18 hours, and then woke up with a searing headache.  And because of all this, my Twinsie Tuesday mani will be delayed.  Fun times in Amandaland.

To make up for error in my blogging ways, I have Stargazing from Maya Cosmetics.  The minute I saw this navy jelly on various blogs, I knew I needed to have my own.  So in a moment of weakness, I caved and picked up a few a number of months back.  A supposed dupe of the VHTF Essie Starry Starry Night, this aptly named jelly is squishy with silver shimmer that floats in the navy base.  Absolutely stunning.

Now the rub.  The formula.  Ugh, this was not a fun polishing experience.  The jelly was goopy and uncooperative and as you can see from my cuticle lines, would not sit coat evenly.  I needed to use 3 coats to be satisfied with the application but even then I wasn't thrilled.

Here's the final product.

I really don't like when a the formula of a polish does not match its final appearance but alas, here we are.  Pretty but unfortunate.
