Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Nail Polish Brand

Morning, ladies.

Choosing a favorite nail polish brand isn't the easiest task.  In fact, my boyfriend recently discovered that I actually own 166 different brands.  Despite the fact I'm shocked so many brands actually exist (although, I'm not sure why I should be so shocked), I always find myself excited about one brand's newest collections more than others, and have done so since I was little: my girl, Sally Hansen.

To showcase Sally Hansen, I chose Private I, from their underrated and under promoted Diamond Strength line.  A rich purply oxblood creme, Private I is flushed with glass flecked shimmer that shifts the color from magenta to royal purple.  The shimmer flecks are mostly apparent up close, but even from afar, Private I is a deliciously vampy shade perfect for winter.

This is three coats.  I probably could've gotten away with two, but I didn't apply it super evenly the first go around.

My only annoyance with this polish is the removal is ridiculously difficult for what it is.  The shimmer flecks still like glitter and are a real pain to get off without major elbow grease.  That being said, I still adore shades like this and more importantly, Sally Hansen.

  1. I was actually going for Sally Hansen for my choice too but I don't own a wide enough selection of their colours. The complete salon manicure polishes are amazing.

  2. I completely agree! I loooove CSM, but I wanted to highlight something a bit different from their line today.

  3. I admit, sometimes I forget about SH polishes. I always overlook them for other brands - but their colors and selection of finishes and lines is endless. I need to add some more to my collection!

  14. What a beautiful shade! The shimmer and shift give some real life and depth, and I like the variation on the typical oxblood (or yakblood, heh). I hate so much that I can't get Sally here! Especially those CSMs.
