Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by a Family Member

Hi, ladies.

I'm just back from a staff conference in Baltimore and I'm absolutely exhausted.  I don't understand why these things need to be an entire week but it really makes it that much harder to get back into the swing of things at work.  But I digress.

Today's Twinsie post is inspired by a family member.  I decided to dedicate this post to my cousin Marni who is responsible for the huge smile on my face these days (she knows why!).  Marni is the biggest sweet tooth I have ever met, and in honor of her, I present you Milani Chocolate Sprinkles.

A teddy brown shimmer creme, Chocolate Sprinkles is flushed with ribbons upon ribbons of multi-tonal gold shimmer.  Sadly, the shimmer is really only visible in direct light, but the color is nonetheless stunning.  As a fan of brown polish, I really enjoyed this deep chocolate shade.  The application was also flawless and buttery.  This was two coats.

Caveat?  The chipping.  Major chipping.  I haven't really had such issues with chipping in a while, but for some reason this Milani just couldn't last 12 hours on me.  By the end of my second day wearing it, I looked like I spent my day scratching at trees.  Oh well.  It's still a beautiful color.

  4. Maribeth sent me this one a while ago, and I loooove it so, so much. Really sorry about the chipping, though. Currently giggling at the thought of a tree-scratching rampage.

  9. Ooh, I love brown shimmers! But the chipping issue will keep me away. I already cant get the most chip proof colors to last more than a day or two on my nails, I can just imagine how fast it'll peel off my nails!
