Hi, ladies.
I'm just back from a staff conference in Baltimore and I'm absolutely exhausted. I don't understand why these things need to be an entire week but it really makes it that much harder to get back into the swing of things at work. But I digress.
Today's Twinsie post is inspired by a family member. I decided to dedicate this post to my cousin Marni who is responsible for the huge smile on my face these days (she knows why!). Marni is the biggest sweet tooth I have ever met, and in honor of her, I present you Milani Chocolate Sprinkles.
A teddy brown shimmer creme, Chocolate Sprinkles is flushed with ribbons upon ribbons of multi-tonal gold shimmer. Sadly, the shimmer is really only visible in direct light, but the color is nonetheless stunning. As a fan of brown polish, I really enjoyed this deep chocolate shade. The application was also flawless and buttery. This was two coats.
Caveat? The chipping. Major chipping. I haven't really had such issues with chipping in a while, but for some reason this Milani just couldn't last 12 hours on me. By the end of my second day wearing it, I looked like I spent my day scratching at trees. Oh well. It's still a beautiful color.

What a great inspiration, I love the polish you chose!
ReplyDeleteShame about the chipping but it is a lovely polish!
ReplyDeleteGosh that sucks about the chipping! This is such a beautiful polish.
ReplyDeleteMaribeth sent me this one a while ago, and I loooove it so, so much. Really sorry about the chipping, though. Currently giggling at the thought of a tree-scratching rampage.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite browns! Sucks that you didn't get good wear time.
ReplyDeletesuch a shame about the chipping but fabulous color for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of brown polishes but this one looks really nice and I like how you've got the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color! And maybe it thought it should look like bark?? Ha. I crack me up.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love brown shimmers! But the chipping issue will keep me away. I already cant get the most chip proof colors to last more than a day or two on my nails, I can just imagine how fast it'll peel off my nails!
ReplyDeleteWow. This one is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Using a sweet chocolate polish for your sweet cousin!
ReplyDeleteIm not a huge fan of brown polishes, but this one is just gorgeous! i love it!

ReplyDeleteEek sorry to hear about the chipping. Love the color and what it represents! hehe
ReplyDeleteChocolate is always a great inspiration, no?
ReplyDeleteHahaha!
ReplyDeleteI hate when our body chemistry goes against our natural love of polish.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anna!

ReplyDeleteI find it funny how polarizing brown polishes are!

ReplyDeleteYeah, bummer, right?
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate when beautiful polishes do that??
ReplyDeleteYeah, the chipping wasn't fun.
ReplyDeleteListen, it may be someone's cup of tea, but I'm quite fond of trees myself.
