Essie Leading Lady

As a lover of red nail polish, I'm often conflicted when the classic shade is also a glitter -- my much loathed nemesis in nail polish land.  However, when I saw Leading Lady -- a glittery garnet of a gem from Essie Winter 2012's collection -- on sale at a local odd lot, I couldn't resist picking it up.

I must say that this glittery jelly really surprised me.  While the jelly nature made for a 3 coat application, the glitter applies smoothly and evenly and adds a really beautiful glisten to a festive red.

My favorite part?  This wasn't rough to the touch at all!  Despite what I read from other bloggers, I only needed one top coat to gloss this over and that was that!  Perfect.

Removal was also relatively easy and surprisingly little elbow grease went into taking this off.  Major brownie points for Essie here.
