Delicate, soft nudes are not everyone's cup of tea. However, with Zoya's recently released Naturel Collection for 2014, they turned nude on its head with a palette of purples, pinks, and mauves that can flatter almost any skin tone.
Please note that all formulas in the collection were identical: a bit thin and runny and required 3 coats for opacity. I highly suggest using very thin coats to avoid clumping or running.
A soft vanilla beige, Chantal is a bit too yellow-toned for my skin tone to serve as the perfect nude, but it definitely comes close. This nude would probably be better on me if I had a tan (yes, I know, sad, but true).
Classic light mauve, Brigitte is a crelly purply greige that just feels cozy on your fingertips. This borders on grandma-y but doesn't quite make the leap. Soft and dusty, I was surprised I liked this as much as I did.
A mocha light brown, the purple undertones keep Normani fresh and neutral. Very similar to Sally Hansen Commander in Chic, Normani is instant classic and perfect for a fall through spring transition.
While this appears to be a dupe for Chantal, Taylor is a tad more even toned in its base, which leaves for a more mannequin-esque appearance on my hands. I personally like nudes that have a bit of pop, so I prefer Chantal to Taylor because it's just slightly more striking against my skin tone, but it's a very close call.
Do I even need to say it? Yes, of course I love Odette! Warm yet cool toned, this pinked purple is just perfection. Slightly more pink than OPI Parlez-Vous OPI, I think Odette is one of the chicest neutrals I've seen in a very long time.
I've been lemming OPI My Very First Knockwurst since last fall and I'm really hoping that Rue is a dupe because I really love this soft petal rose nude. The grey in this pink base is beyond flattering and reminds me of ballerinas. Totally in the running for my favorite with Odette.
