Nail Rock Nail Caviar in Neptune Green

Good morning, all.

Today, I have a new product from British nail company Nail Rock.  A caviar mani in a box, this product comes with nail polish and cute little pot of pearlescent beads to create the fish egg look.  No glue necessary, which I really liked.

I started with two coats of Neptune Green, a waxed finish polish that reminds me of the quintessential Irish green.  While still wet, I dunked my ring finger into the tiny pot and let it rest there for about 15 seconds.  I anticipated that this process would cause a mess of beads, but thankfully, the pink and blue caviar stuck only to my nail and little bit around my cuticle, which easily cleaned off by brushing the beads off lightly with my fingertip.

No second dunk necessary.

I'm surprised that I actually thought this manicure was a lot of fun!  So not me, right? I can't say that I'd ever wear this out, but as a simple and effective mani twist, I can honestly say that this is pretty cool.  And easy to boot!

The only down side?  I did not like this combination of beads and polish (they are preselected in the box they come in).  I just don't think the pearly aqua and fuchsia beads go at all with such a bright, grassy green.  If the colors were better paired or if you were able to mix and match your polish and bead combo, I'd like this product a tad bit more.

Available at Walmart now.

  1. What a pretty shade of green! I've never liked caviar manis, but I do like the color combo.

  2. I'm not a big fan of green, so I didn't love this as I'm sure many green lovers will.

  3. I was surprised to see a caviar mani here! hehe it's pretty cute :D

  4. Ohhh love the color combos here.
