Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Week: OPI Muir Muir on the Wall

For my second pink mani for breast cancer awareness, I chose to go in a bit of a different direction.  While pink is thought to be a light, girly color, like cancer, there's a dark underbelly in the tonal spectrum that should be recognized.

OPI Muir Muir on the Wall from the San Francisco Fall 2013 Collection is not what you would normally classify as pink.  In fact, I'd probably identify this shade a deep, plummy merlot.  But like with anything, if given the right light, you can see it shine -- in this case, with a rich pinky fuchsia shimmer that turns almost orange when the light hits it just so.  The formula was lovely and was opaque in two coats.

And for the second Breast Cancer Awareness fact of the week...
