Twinsie Tuesday: Based on a YouTube Tutorial

Morning, ladies.

For today's Twinsie Tuesday, we have to recreate a mani from a YouTube tutorial. After some research, I decided that I would use a tutorial to show me how to do galaxy nails, a technique I've always loved but never attempted on my own.

I really liked MissJenFABULOUS's video (also linked within this post below) and how she used large glitter pieces instead of white nail art pens to mark stars, which I think gave a more 3D look to the galaxy.

I started with Sally Hansen Midnight in NY and sponged a blend of elf Dark Navy and Metal Madness with China Glaze Sea Spray to create the nebula.  I then put a thin coat of Savina Fairy Dust over the whole nail, completing it by dabbing the large-pieced holographic glitter from Khroma Crush.

While not quite the same as how Jen's turned out, I'm still pretty pleased at how it turned out...considering my first attempt looked like the universe threw up on my fingernails.
