Shimmer Polish Carmen

Another Shimmer Polish to show you, ladies.

Carmen, layered over Sally Hansen Stocking Nude, is rather a hit and a miss for me.  Normally, I'm not the biggest fan of orange polishes unless they are red-leaning and bright.  Carmen, however, is comprised of coppery hex glitter and golden microshimmer floating about to create a burnt orange tone, which while appropriate for fall, isn't really my thing.  Nevertheless, over the nude, the rich glitter flakes give off a fallen leaves effect I think is rather cozy!

This is one thin coat over the nude base.

It goes without saying that the formula was fantastic and if these autumnal glitters do it for you, I highly recommend picking this up.  But if orange-y golds and coppers aren't your thing, you may want to pass for another of Shimmer Polish's fantastic creations.

If you're interested in purchasing Carmen or any other Shimmer Polish, visit the brand's Etsy shop where you can pick one up for $12 USD a bottle.

  1. I like the orangey-ness! this looks more gold than straight up orange, so as not so in your face.

  2. I hear what you're saying, but I think it's just not my favorite color family so I'm kinda ambivalent about it.

  3. Oh, Amanda, I just love this pairing! The glitter is so richly golden and gorgeously sparking and omigosh, I *want* it. ^_^

  4. I really like this! This would be perfect to wear for Thanksgiving!!
