Shimmer Polish Astrid

Happy Friday, all.

Today, I have something fantastic for you, ladies.  So fantastic, I literally stared at my nails for probably a good 25 hours.  Yeah, it was that insane.  And my pictures don't even do this combination justice.

So what is this magical mani, one might ask?  Well, I began with two coats of my favorite black base, Sally Hansen Midnight in NY.  Over that, I layered one medium-thick coat of Shimmer Polish Astrid, a new Shimmer that from the bottle looks like when a fairy sneezes -- or how I would imagine it would look like if and when a fairy sneezed.   Astrid is just lavender iridescent amazingness.

Over black, the pastel iridescent flakie glitter glowed, giving the purple, mint, and blue flakes a deeper hue.  Astrid may be one of my all-time favorite Shimmer Polishes.

Breathtaking, no?  I've already played around with Astrid, layering her over white, cobalt blue, and pink and each combination has been just as lovely.

If you're interested in purchasing Astrid  or any other Shimmer Polish, visit the brand's Etsy shop where you can pick one up for $12 USD a bottle.
