Satya Jewelry Small Basketweave Cuff

I'm a fan of statement piece jewelry.  Instead of layering down in rings and necklaces, I choose to accessorize with one larger piece to jazz up an outfit since I think jewelry should never compete with an ensemble.

When I was asked to review a piece from Satya Jewelry, I was excited to try out a handcrafted piece that was "inspired by the world...with the modern, fearless woman in mind."  Satya Jewelry claims to "strike a subtle balance between ever-evolving style, honoring the infinite potential of all who wear it."  When I received the small basketweave cuff in silver, I completely understood that sentiment.

First a look at the piece.

The Basketweave Cuff is much more delicate than it appears in pictures.  A soft silver plated over brass, the cuff is surprisingly very lightweight despite the heavier-toned burnished basketweave texture.  The first time I wore this beautiful piece was over a black sheer top and coupled with a double stranded pearl bracelet, which allowed for a very soft-yet-hard look that appealed to my autumn aesthetic.

I was given the opportunity to ask Satya Scainetti, Satya's designer and co-founder, what her inspiration was behind this bracelet and what type of woman she envisions would wear it.

"The inspiration came from a trip to Thailand where we have a lot of the jewelry made.  It's all hand woven giving a soft textured look to dress up or down.  It's made for a woman who is sophisticated and confident."

Beautifully put!

The Small Basketweave Cuff in silver retails for $148 USD and can be purchased at  Make sure to take a look at Satya's Peacock Collection for Fall 2013 that references the jewel-toned majestic bird available on the website now.

On a separate and more personal note, as a nonprofit professional, I'd like to make mention to the fact that Satya also runs the Satya Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization that has raised over $1 million for children's groups throughout the world.  For more information about the foundation, please click here.
