Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure for Fall 2013

Even though I'm committed to my Black and White Week, I needed to do a double post today to show off three new polishes from the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure line for Fall 2013.  I was lucky enough to test out one from each Designer Collaborative line that are available now wherever Sally Hansen polishes are sold.

Stocking Nude
Rodarte
Because I'm pretty fair, finding the right nude is often difficult because they just seem to pull too yellow on me.  I'm happy to confess that Stocking Nude has now because my ultimate nude polish!  A creamy true nude, Rodarte's Stocking Nude is the perfect balance of pink and yellow tones that sit on the hand chicly -- the way mannequin hands should look.  This was 3 coats.

Coat of Arms
Prabal Gurung
Metallic foils are making a huge comeback this fall and Prabal Gurung, one of my favorite fashion designers, has brought this trend to life in Coat of Arms.  A soft champagne gold, this what I'd consider the nude version of the fall's highly reflective color palette.  While Coat of Arms dries with brushstroke lines, I think it adds to the character of the pale gold, giving the finish a burnished look.  This was 3 coats.

New Wave Blue
Tracy Reese
It's not surprising that one of the girliest designers out there chose a bright and saturated hue to stand out against the warmer tones of fall.  New Wave Blue, while not the most unique shade, is still a very pretty blue-leaning teal with just a touch of dustiness keeping it seasonally appropriate.  This was 2 coats, but be forewarned, this stains somewhat.

While not what I would've necessarily expected in a fall line, I'm still impressed by the formulas in all three polishes and love that they each can carry through all four seasons beautifully.  Definitely try these out if you can!

  1. I saw those and my polish hoarding side wanted them all, but I was practical and only chose the Loden green one. The others I was sure I had dupes for already. It doesn't stop me from wanting them anyway.

  3. Stocking Nude compliments you so, so gorgeously, Amanda! (I have a hard time nude-ing it up in the other direction--pale neutrals tend to go a little pink next to my alluring, pasty blue highlights, hehe.) And you know I'm smitten with that pretty aqua too. ;)

  4. Oh I've been there. I will say though that I really loved Stocking Nude and while it looks dupeable, I can't say o have anything close to it.

  6. Is it weird that out of all three of these, I like Stocking Nude the most? I'm not normally big on nudes but this one just looks so perfect! Gonna have to keep an eye out for it.
