Precision Scorpion King

Day 2 of Black and White Week -- yup, made it this far, aren't you guys proud?

For my first black mani (as I'm doing alternating black and white manis through the week), I have Precision Scorpion King, a black creme base with what appears to be heavily dispersed silver micro shimmer.  However, once on the nail, I realized the silver micro shimmer was actually silvery white micro flakies, which completely blew my mind.

The application was flawless and covered really well in two (or three, can't remember, sorry!) coats.  My swatch below is topcoated and while the polish isn't a matte, somehow has a semi-matte finish which I attribute to the composition of the translucent flakies in the shimmery ebony creme.

Sorry it's not the clearest macro but I thought this shot showcased best how cool the flakie effect is throughout the polish.  I love when what seems as to be a pretty run of the mill color surprises you with a little touch of something.

  4. I'm not sure if you meant to say "smexy" or it was a typo but I like that word nonetheless.
