For Twinsie Tuesday, we are posting a mish mosh manicure, which basically means a different technique each nail. Given up on nail art for the moment, I thought I'd experiment with different with different types of glitter layering on each nail.
I began with three coats of Sally Hansen Barracuda, a formerly LE Complete Salon Manicure that is now part of the core collection. Barracuda is a pastel blue creme with no chalkiness to its base, making it a pleasure to apply.
To "mish mosh" my mani, I collected a matte glitter, a feathery or hairy glitter, hex glitter, and microglitter and dabbed each on a nail. Final product below.
Not crazy about this skittle-esque look, but what have you. The only combo I'm particularly enjoying is the index where I layered Maybelline Blue Marks the Spot, which I literally received in the mail from Nory yesterday (thanks, girly!). For some reason, the application makes it look slightly ombre which I think is a pretty cool effect.
The polishes I used are show below:
Pure Ice Cheatin'* -- pinky
Essie Stroke of Brilliance -- ring
Sally Hansen Barracuda -- base
Maybelline Blue Marks the Spot -- index
Sally Hansen Tight Knit* -- middle
