Twinsie Tuesday: Chevrons

I have failed miserably at almost every form of chevron-making for my nails.  I've tried self-made decals, tape, chevroned scissors, etc. and nothing worked.  So when I randomly saw black and white Milani nail art bottles (that looked more like liquid eyeliner than polish) for 99 cents each, I figured worth a shot.

For today's Twinsie Tuesday post, we -- surprise, surprise -- have to create a chevron mani.  Below is my freehanded attempt.  Eh.  Not great but not as bad as past tries.

I much prefer the rest of the mani.  I began with a base of Barry M. Prickly Pear (not sure of the name connection, the polish is just out of this world) and then chose to layer two coats of KBShimmer Iris My Case over the pinkie and index.  This type of mani always reminds me of something Marisa was dream up...although, hers would be worlds better without a doubt ;)

  11. What a fun combo Amanda!! The free hand isn't that bad. I don't know that I would've been able to get it so neatly. And you go ahead with your glitter accents ;0). Love it!!

  17. Part of the reason I never posted a full post yesterday was because of all the AWFUL fails I experienced while attempting this. Like, I've never given up on a task before, and for some reason this one was horrendous enough for me to say "Screw it!". I totally sympathize!
