Twinsie Tuesday: Splatter

Happy Tuesday, all.

Today's Twinsie Tuesday mani is all about the splatter.  I've seen some tutorials on the splatter mani that involve straws, however, when it came to me actually doing it, I was the idiot blowing into a straw of polish that refused to move.  So instead, I improvised, and used the end of the straw to smudge the colors I intended to splatter all over my ring finger.

This Sephora by OPI White Hot (a fabulous chalk white creme) accented with the new Zoya PixieDust for Fall 2013 in Arabella, Tomoko, Carter, and Sunshine.

Simplea but effective.  Textured "splatter" accents are really kinda cool.

  1. I like the idea of using textured polish for a splatter mani! Neat! I had issues with getting too close to my nail when I blew through the other end of the straw, and would try to just coat my entire nail with that color!

  10. I can't ever get the straw method to work either. I love the pixie dust as the accent though! The sparkle really makes it shine!

  14. I had problems when I blew the polish through the straw too. It came out in globs and was just not pleasant. Love the accent textured splatter,
