Twinsie Tuesday: Marching Orders

I'm excited to announce that this Tuesday, we are welcoming three new Twinsies into our group.  Heather, Amber, and Róisín are fantastic ladies and bloggers, which you'll see when you click their links below (please note that because Heather is in the process of a move, she'll be officially starting in a week or two).

Anyways.  Marching Orders again, which means we've been paired up with another Twinsie and given explicit instructions on what to post.  My commanding officer is Katherine, who because she knew that I'm also in the middle of a move, sweetly just required me to post a purple mani.  Ah, I just adore that girl.

I chose to swatch Studio M Lust, my first of this Midwestern brand sent to me by my darling Chelsea.  I'd define Lust as an electric lavender, a metallic purple infused with equally electric pink shimmer. In both the bottle and on the nail, this color is hot.

Down side?  The formula.  Watery and unleveling, Lust pooled at my cuticles and went bald on the nail. This mani is 3-4 coats of messy beauty.

anevertheless, it's hard not to love Lust once the final result is achieved.  A truly spectacular variation of lavender, I'm so thankful to Chelsea for my first Studio M... and even more thankful to Katherine for affording me the opportunity to show you ladies.

  12. It's so bad when you have to work so hard for such a pretty color but it's better that than work hard for an ugly color ;)
