China Glaze Surreal Appeal and Revlon Dazzle

I love a good creme.  But I also love a good glass fleck shimmer.  How to decide what to wear when presented with two perfect specimens of each that would compliment each other so beautifully?

Pull a Marisa!

My fellow Twinsie is known for her layered double accents and I thought, when debating between wearing China Glaze Surreal Appeal alone in its glossy glory or layering the shimmering Revlon Dazzle over it, I'd double down.  Why not wear both at the same time?

Surreal Appeal from the China Glaze Cirque de Soleil Collection is a salmony coral creme that is remarkably bright yet dusty at the same time, something I find rather awesome.  Revlon Dazzle, also semi-recently released, is a corally pink jelly flushed with microshimmer glass flecks with a slight flakie quality to them.

Once I layered Dazzle over two coats of Surreal Appeal on my ring and pinkie, I died.  Both alone or with the Revlon, Surreal Appeal astounds!

The shimmer in this photo does not do the glass flecks justice, but without grabbing my hand and shoving it in your face, this accurately demonstrates what my mani looks like in standard lighting at an appropriate distance.  The only way I can adequately describe the combo is what a fairy would look like if she tanned.

And for my double accent, I hope I did Marisa proud.  While this isn't something I'd routinely do, it was a refreshing way to have my cake and eat it too!  Thanks for the inspiration, girly!

  4. I felt the collection overall was kinda uninspiring, but there were a few in there that are real gems.

  6. My first time trying it and I'm intrigued by the look, although I can't say I'd wear this normally.
