Zoya Irresistible Collection Summer 2013

You'll need your shades this summer, girls, but it's not just for the brighter sun.  Take a look at the Zoya Irresistible Collection, a sextet of highly reflective chrome metallics for Summer 2013.

Hazel
A reflecting pool of sky blue crystal, Hazel is like molten water.  Fabulous and chic in two coats.

Rikki
Unfortunately, this evergreen chrome left the lobster hand effect and was not necessarily my favorite of the bunch.  If this polish was say two shades darker, I think I might have been sold.  Two coats.

Amy
Amy is hands down China Glaze Riveting's little sister, less intense and brilliant, but just as peppy and bright.  Total citrus chrome in two coats.

Kerry
I'm not a big yellow fan so Kerry was more of a pass in my book.  Application, however, like all the others, was perfect so even though Kerry is yellow, she was chrome-like in two coats.

Tinsley
To be honest, Tinsley seems to be having an identity crisis.  Is she pink, is she gold, or is she copper?  The duochrome effect is striking but as a foil, has way too much glare going on.  This was three coats.

Bobbi
Ah, my favorite!  I love how rich the fuchsia foil appears to be, despite how shiny and reflective it is.  Love, love, love.  This was three coats.

While not my favorite finish or set of colors, Zoya has some knockout stars in Bobbi and Hazel.  Is the rest of the collection "irresistible"?  Let me know in the comments!

  2. I like Amy and Bobbie - normally this would be the 'end' of the 2 collections I would love most but these are too frosted looking for me to like them and I certainly won't be buying this entire side of the collection. Usually if there is only 1 I am no crazy over (like the yellow) I would buy the collection because you get 1 for free price wise buying the entire collection on line. I would not buy even the 2 I sort of like I don't think because of the too too frosty look. I loved the shimmer side of the summer collection in 2011 (the one with Kimmy in it)...these are a big let down to me.

  6. I totally hear where you're coming from. These are certainly not my favorite finish and I wouldn't buy the whole collection myself, only one or two. But wait until you see the cremes...those are delish!
