Essie Madison Ave-hue

To start the week, I thought I'd share another beauty from the Essie Madison Ave-hue Spring Collection.  In fact, I have the titular color, in all its shimmery pink glory.

The only shimmer in this collection, Madison Ave-hue is a warm-toned, blue-leaning medium pink flushed with magnificent silver shimmer flecks.  The formula was like butter but I used 3 three coats to even everything out.

Perfectly spring-like, right?

Madison Ave-hue is inspired by my hometown New York City.  As a lifelong New Yorker, I personally would have a difficult time identifying one color to sum up this insanely colorful city.  To be honest, I'm so pleased that Essie, a New Yorker herself, did not follow a number of other brands' suit and make a "concrete jungle" grey polish.  New York has so much more to offer than just metal skyscrapers!  Madison Avenue, for example, is littered with high end luxury stores and boutique novelty shops.  And don't even get me started on the restaurants.  I personally love the picture I found below of New York because it really spits in the face of what most people think of when they think the Big Apple.  Flowers in New York City?  Absolutely!  And what about the quintessential yellow taxi cab?  Colorful and everywhere, ladies.
