SmittenPolish Traveling by Bubble

I have a serious weakness for certain brands.  Indies are more of a newer territory for me, but I'm quickly navigating the waters towards my favorites.  Recently, I went a little Etsy happy and spree'ed my way through 3 of SmittenPolish's restocks over the past two months.

Of the batch I purchased, first up is Traveling by Bubble, one of Noelie's newest creations inspired by the musical Wicked.  The minute I saw this bright sky blue, I instantly thought of Revlon Whimsical (Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air dupe) and how if it was more opaque it would be just as amazing as this.  While I'm not a glitter fan -- as I'm sure you all well know -- there was something well, whimsical, about the circular aqua and pink glitter interspersed with the same colored micro glitter.  As a huge Wizard of Oz fan, I loved the images this conjured up; thankfully the happy hue dispelled the more disturbing memories I have from reading Wicked the book in college.  That book was so bad that I can't even bring myself to see the musical.

This was three coats that applied easily and evenly, with not glitter dragging or drowning.

Personally, I would prefer this gorgeous cyan with just the micro glitter but yes, I will forever be biased.  Nevertheless, Traveling by Bubble is a fun little spring color that will make any girl who once dreamed of ruby red pumps and stuck stuffed animal dogs into handbags smile in happy memory.

SmittenPolish can be purchased for $9 each on Noelie's Etsy shop here.

  1. Hi, if you like musicals at all you need to see Wicked- it is very different than the book!

  2. That's what I hear but the book was just so insane! I haven't a clue how they made it into a musical.

  3. This is so light and happy! I know you aren't a big glitter gal, but I think this has just the right amount!

  4. It's a nice ratio of glitter to creme.

  5. I love this! I bought a couple from her most recent restock too and they're all so lovely! I agree that the Wicked book is TERRIBLE, but I actually love the musical! The musical is really different, so it makes it work.
