Sinful Colors Rise and Shine with Kissy Accent

Hello, Sunday.

Today begins an interesting week for me.  A few weeks back, my girl Elizabeth swatched a beautiful purple creme polish...something very unfamiliar on Did My Nails blog.  So I, as the  self-titled muse of the blogging world (and clearly the most delusional), dared Elizabeth to swatch a week of purple polish.  In retaliation, I was challenged by Elizabeth to swatch a week of teal polishes, with at least one glitter and one nail art.

So the teal mania commences.  I scrounged through my stash for some teals -- as there aren't that many -- and found a Sinful Colors creme in my untried drawer.  Rise and Shine isn't a color I'd normally gravitate to so I'm I have no clue why I bought it.  Regardless, what looks like a bright green-leaning teal shimmer-creme dries as a clover green semi-matte creme (I did not use any top coat in my swatches so you can see the finish).

Since the color didn't technically meet the rules of the challenge, I decided to whip out an accent of Sinful Colors Kissy, a clearly teal and gold shimmer.  The shimmer is somewhat metallic and kinda looks glittery so I'm going to count this as half a day under my glitter requirement.

This is two coats of each polish; Kissy is layered over Rise and Shine.

The formula on both are stellar and the price is obviously affordable at $1.99.

So day one down, only six more teals to go.  Prepare yourself for smurf fingers, ladies, it's going to be a painful ride.

  4. Ooh, I love Kissy!! Rise and Shine is really pretty too, but you know I'm gonna be all about the sparkly teal. Do you remember if this is close to what Kissy looks like by itself, or if it's taking a lot of its colour from R&S? Either way, they definitely suit each other well!

Have to call you on that attempted foxing of the glitter requirement, though--two shimmers do not a glitter make, Ms. FoxyMuse! (^_-)

  5. Kissy is opaque on it's own so the fact that it's layered over R&S makes really no difference to its color. It's also a dupe of a million other things, http://www.amandalandish.com/p/dupe-alerts.html

And okay, okay. I was ready for that. Come back tomorrow for the rest of the glitter.

  7. I don't think I've gotten to the spectrum of brighter greens yet in my polish life. Flashes of St. Patrick's Day before my eyes.
