When Elizabeth and I were discussing our respective challenges this week, she listed a bunch of shades of teals that I could use for the week. She listed "minty teal" as one of the options but until I came across this JulieG. beauty, I had no idea such a color existed.
While perusing my local Rite Aid, I came across a whole slew of new JulieG. polishes. Among the five I brought home, Shark's Cove instantly went on my nails. I hadn't planned to end the week with this, but for some reason this just seemed too perfect not to post as my closing polish. A pale, pastel aqua creme, Shark's Cove is jammed packed with silver shimmer. While my photo captures more of the greener undertones of this color, there really is enough blue in the base to keep this in the teal family.
The formula was pretty good, thick but workable. This required three coats for full opacity.
I'm really liking how versatile this color is; while the shimmer keeps this rooted in winter, the brightness of the pastel is just perfect for spring. Simply stunning.
Elizabeth's last post of purple is up already so I highly recommend you congratulate her on a job well done. And to my worthy challenger, I salute on all your fabulous purples you posted this week. Major win ;)

Love! (<--sung in high, exuberant soprano) Minty teal is pretty much my favourite nail polish colour ever (I blame/credit For Audrey for kicking off my whole polish collecting obsession), and this is such a beauty! That soft, silvery shimmer is just gorgeous. ♥
ReplyDeleteReturning salute to you, your gorgeous teals, and to the Major! ^_^
That is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loving Shark's Cove, even if it makes me scared to get back in the water!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe shimmer in this polish is so gorgeous! Wish we had Rite Aid in FL.
ReplyDeleteSo super gorgeous. I love this!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteI really am shocked that there aren't any down there! But at least you guys have Ulta!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteLol. Well, just wear this to the beach and stay dry!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteI always find it interesting to see what kicked off someone's obsession. I actually had two: China Glaze Recycle was what I call my gateway drug -- the first "high-end" polish I splurged on at the end of a bad break up, but it was SpaRitual A World of Compassion that made me crazed. I looked high and low for that polish and finally shelled out a whopping, at the time, $10 for it.
ReplyDeleteAn Ulta is finally being built in my city! Can't wait until it opens.
ReplyDeleteJealoussss.
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking this one! Such a great in-between-seasons color :D
ReplyDeleteLove!
ReplyDeleteYup!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteWow love love! JulieG is making me want to have a rite aid near by!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a shame there's none in FL :(
ReplyDelete:( So bummed out can't purchase on the website. That site always freezes on me. Which its very weird because that's the only website I got problems with. I always make purchases on eBay & amazon & other sites; never have a problem. Go figure I would have a problem on her only site. :( Does anyone else have this problem????????
ReplyDeleteWish we had a RiteAide!!!!
Ooh! I'm so sorry that it's not working out for you! You should try going on another computer to see if it works or email customer service. I couldn't find a specific email for CS, just a page to write an email into: http://www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com/pages/contact. Hopefully, your page won't freeze up long enough for you to explain the issue! Hope it gets resolved quickly!
ReplyDeletethis is absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteI can so see you rocking this!
