Jesse's Girl Mermaid's Lagoon

Day Four of Teal Week.  And I only just realized that Jesse's Girl cosmetics is not spelled with an "i."  Must change my stash list to correct that.

The reason for the random spelling announcement is because as I was typing up my post for today I looked down and saw that the picture I uploaded had a perfect view of the bottle logo.  And if I plan on showing a brand, I should probably be spelling it correctly!

That being said, today I have Jesse's Girl Mermaid's Lagoon, probably one of the truest teals I own.  A green leaning bright teal, what makes this polish mermaid-esque is the golden swirls of shimmer that are more clearly evident from the bottle.  Once on the nail, the gold just gives the teal a shiny glow.  However, when hit with direct light as seen in flash photo below (second pic), the shimmer really comes to life.

This is two coats.

I personally really enjoy the formula of Jesse's Girl polishes: they're thick but not uncomfortably so -- in fact, you can see that that they actually dry on the thinner side (see white mark on my middle finger peeking through) and could've probably used a third coat to obscure that.  However, what I'm most intrigued is that the brush is actually on the shorter side, which while ordinarily would seem ineffective, actually makes application much easier because where you put the brush is wear the polish goes.

So that's my Day Four complete.  Let's see what Elizabeth has for us now...
