I gravitate towards perfumes that have heavy vanilla tones. Basically, I feel best when I'm indistinguishable from a bakery.
If I'm olfactorily attracted to desserts, what's to stop me from liking a little something yummy on my fingertips? Enter SmittenPolish Mint Chip, a delectable pastel creme spotted with multisized brown matte glitter.
While the mint color applies a bit streaky, by three coats, you're good to go. The "chips" however were slightly less user friendly and I had to dab furiously just to get the amount I was able to in this swatch. To be honest, I actually like the sparse chipped look better than a full on glitterfest, I just wish it was a bit easier to even get to that point.
EDIT: Noelie, SmittenPolish's creator, read this and offered to send me more chips if I liked. I thought that that was an important thing to note since the offer was completely unsolicited. Talk about good customer service!

Nevertheless, the final product is simply delicious! Noelie has once again won me over with her indie brand and I'm super impressed that this mint does not leave any lobster hands. In fact, I would love to see Mint Chip complemented with a whole range of ice cream inspired polishes <*hint*hint*>. I can only imagine how amazingly awesome a collection that would be coming from Noelie, the lady responsible for converting me to the world of indie polishes.

Very pretty polish! Too bad about the glitters, but gorgeous none the less!
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt's not too bad. The final product certainly excuses the glitter issues.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly!
ReplyDeleteThis is making me seriously crave some mint chocolate chip ice-cream!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand that ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the base shade, minty colors always call to me! Too bad the "chips" didn't want to work! That's always frustrating!
ReplyDeleteHey, girl. =) The chips in that one aren't supposed to be quite that sparse. I can send you some more glitter for it if you like!
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely in love with this!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely delicious! :D
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteNoelie, you never cease to impress me with your class. You're so sweet, but I'm really fine with my Mint Chip. The end result is lovely so I really don't mind the sparse chips. Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteWell, I just found out I had a dud bottle (strong word for such a pretty polish, but...). Noelie said that the glitter wasn't meant to be that sparse and actually offered to send me more chips. How sweet is that?
ReplyDeleteThis is so yummy looking! I agree, it does look nice with the sparse chips...how nice that Noelie offered to help you out!!
ReplyDeleteShe's an absolute doll!
ReplyDeleteI really like the sparse chips too, sometimes too much glitter can be overkill. I want to eat your nails.
ReplyDeleteThey are quite yummy, aren't they? ;)
