Studio M Shabby Drab

I want to apologize for being a bad blogger recently.  I used to be able to post at least 4-5 times a week but over the past two months, I've found myself with dwindling swatches that I felt worthy to share.  There are a number of reasons for that: I was changing my photographing method, the holidays, Hurricane Sandy, the loss of my camera charger for a week, and the subsequent learning curve I'm riding while learning how to use my new camera.  Thankfully nothing major is happening in my life to preclude posting but regardless I just wanted you ladies to know why my blog may seem sparser than usual.

On the tails of that happy message, I bring to you a really pretty color that I just could not photograph right (new camera problems strike again).  Studio M Shabby Drab is an exact dupe of Color Club Shabby Drab and since both brands are produced by the same company, I'm not surprised.  A dusty crelly, Shabby Drab is a really soft greyed out lavender that while somewhat pastel, is more of an autumnal color to my eye.  I love how neutral yet cool-toned Shabby Drab is and works really well with the fall palette and gives a soft edge to an black outfit.

This is two decent coats.

I want to thank Cordia from Seriously Swatched for sending this Studio M my way.  While I've amassed about four M's in the past few months from swaps, this is actually the first one I've tried and I'm excited to swatch the rest.  Here's praying I can get my photos to come out better than this one...

Panasonic Lumix problems, anyone?

  9. Both formulas are basically identical. Studio M isn't sold in NY so if you choose that brand, I'd speak with Cordia.
