An Apology, an Engagement, and Merry Christmas

You know how I said that my posts were going to be sporadic this past weekend because I was in Vermont celebrating my anniversary with the boyfriend?  Well, my apologies since they've actually been nonexistent.

But I have a good reason!  In fact, a great reason: I'm engaged!

Yup, he popped the question the day after the world didn't end and as the pretty shiny thing on my left hand indicates, I said yes.

I'll be back in New York by Wednesday and have more information and posts for all my ladies, but in the meantime, my Twinsie Tuesday post has been scheduled for a week now and presumably makes no mention of the aforementioned engagement so if it seems a bit blase, know that it's because past me didn't know that future me was going to get a ring on it (anyone else have Beyonce stuck in their heads lately?  No?  Only me?).

Regardless, I want to wish all my Christmas-celebrating readers a very happy and healthy holiday filled with lots of good food, welcome friends and family, and beautiful polish!

Merry Christmas!

  8. WOW! Congrats! That's great news - a holiday proposal - he cannot then yrs down the road ever forget at least the month of the yr you 2 got engaged! That's got to be worth a few bouquets of flowers in yrs to come...enjoy the planning phase to come whatever it is you both decide to do - big or small...I had a really little one and we saved our $ to get into a condo ASAP and never regretted it - I had my dress, flowers I wanted - a lovely order off a custom made menu for brunch for my 12 guests and I planned it all, including buying my dress all in 1 day!

  10. A woman after my own heart -- we are definitely planning a small wedding. I'm not one for huge affairs and I think the smaller the more intimate since those are the people that you truly want there and aren't just inviting for the sake of inviting.
