Sally Hansen In a Flurry

Happy Halloween!

I only just realized that I had this swatch saved in my drafts and thought Halloween was a good a time as any to post a vampy, shimmery jelly.  So while this isn't a quintessentially festive mani for the day, it's black and goth and more appropriate for today than July 4.  So yeah, just go with it.

Sally Hansen In a Flurry, from the most recent Insta-Dri collection, is a charcoal jelly packed with green, purple, and gold flakie shimmer.  Absolutely stunning in the bottle.  On the nail, it has almost a green tint to it, which you can slightly see in the second photo.  In fact, most people thought this polish was a straight up green on me.

Application was smooth and opaque in two coats.

Despite the heavy shimmer, removal was an absolute cinch and left no staining or wrist strain in its wake.  While there are many polishes out on the market that have a similar look to it, I can't say that In a Flurry is particularly unique.  However, it's really edgy take on the modern vampy black and dries very quickly.  While I've seen this in a number of drugstores over the past few months (I bought this back in August), I believe that In a Flurry is a LE shade.  So if you're interested, I recommend snagging it before it's potentially gone.

And inquiring minds want to know: what's on your nails this Halloween?

  3. That shimmer is just crazy! Especially for such a dark base colour, and I like the greenish tint too.

I'm sporting nail art today (again) for Halloween. Actually looking forward to enjoying some simple swatches after this week! ;)

  10. I should really try using the clear one as a top coat to see if it works just as quickly.

  12. I was surprised about the green, so I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think I might like this even more if the charcoal leaned more brown/black than green.
