China Glaze Mummy May I

Some Halloween polish, shall we?

In a recent secret swap, I received one of my most coveted China Glaze polishes ever.  The Halloween collections from China Glaze are always my favorites, so when I saw that my secret swapper, Carmen, had found this, I think I flipped my lid.  But since I received it in August and I'm quite anal about wearing season appropriate colors, I held off...until now.

Oh my goodness, I am absolutely in love with Mummy May I, which I believe was from the 2010 collection (please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm kinda too lazy to Google it right now).  A black jelly heavily saturated with fuchsia glitter, this fit right in with my growing collection of blackened-based polishes.

The fuchsia glitter has a really smooth finish (only one coat of topcoat) and does not require a large amount of elbow grease to remove.  Applying Mummy May wasn't too bad either: the first coat applied unevenly but was opaque in two.  Being as crazy as I am, of course I used three.

I just love the little hint of purple this glitter adds to Mummy May I, it's just a nice kick to an otherwise vampy polish.  Just utter China Glaze perfection.

  1. This is an amazing polish! Of course though you know I am always happy to see you in glitter and this one really suits you! I am the same way about seasonally appropriate colors too. :)

  2. Well, I have a weakness for the blackened jellies with the glitter so I don't really consider it *true* glitter. ..

  3. This is totally pretty! Nothing too over the top, either. I love the size of the little purple glitters too--they're kind of like half-glitter, half-shimmer.
