Quick update: I bit the bullet and just filed all my nails to the same size as the nub. Thankfully, it grew quickly and my general nail state is fairly reasonable and I plan to start swatching soon. I'm such a neurotic mess, I started to worry that I would miss all the good fall colors because of this nail issue. Over dramatic much?
Anyways, today I have one of my first blogger friends who amazes me with her polish collection. I also love her taste and except for some of her glitters, I adoreee everything she swatches. Take it away, Katherine...
Hi Everyone! First and foremost, thank you to Amanda for letting me provide a guest post. I hope you are on the mend, Amanda! (By the way, I'm sure even with a nub your nails look fabulous). I've been following Amanda's blog since I first got into blogging and it's an honor to be here. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Katherine from Haul of Fame. Like Amanda, I'm a New Yorker with a deep love for nail polish.
For today's post I decided to pick Essie Mochachino. Essie Mochachino is a taupe/gray polish with subtle silver shimmer. Essie's website describes Mochachino as a "perky gray with shimmer," but in my opinion this has more of a taupe/brown base. The formula was fantastic and this was fully opaque in two coats. The photos below show two coats of Essie Mochachino topped off with a coat of Seche Vite.
That's all for today. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day. And Amanda, thank you again for allowing me to guest post. Get well soon! :)
Mochacjino is one of my favorite Essies and I actually have it lined up on my "to swatch" pile on my night table for this week. It may need to be bumped to the front of the list after this swatch.
A huge thanks to Katherine for coming to my rescue with this post!
